About Us
studentmentoring.com manage all the e-mentoring talked about on this website and it is an innovative and exciting new initiative that was launched in August 2003 and has been developed to facilitate business and education partnerships. The key members of the UK Team are:
Sarah Leigh Sarah has a depth of experience in managing educational projects with both adults and children, and is well placed to lead the team. She has worked in the education sector since graduating from university.
Sean Leigh - Sean was a lecturer at a FE college and developed and delivered the first Internet related NVQ, he went on to develop a range of courses for the Open College Network and delivered a white paper on the Y2K bug in Baltimore USA. More recently Sean has been developing software to enable the effective use of new technology in schools. Sean also developed from concept to implementation mentoring programmes for over 35 PLCs in the UK.
Joan Leigh - Joan has 25 years teaching experience of which the last eight years were spent as a headteacher. Joan has been working in an advisory capacity where her talent for generating new ideas combined with her wealth of experience makes her an invaluable asset to any team.
